OSCAR DE LA HOYA'S INTERNATIONAL BOXING COMPETITION
Golden Boy Promotions, owned by gold medal boxer Oscar De La Hoya, became a premier partner of WeSellEvents at the 2017 World Police & Fire Games in Los Angeles. Golden Boy Promotions was tasked with producing the boxing competition from the ground up. Hosted within the famous LA Live at the LA Convention Center as a 4-day competition, this event grew in popularity throughout LA17 WPFG with professional boxers in attendance for autograph sessions and photo opportunities.
WeSellEvents brokered the partnership arrangement between Golden Boy Promotions and the Games to produce this unique boxing event. Through weekly meetings and consultations, WeSellEvents helped plan the marketing, promoting, merchandising, and broadcasting of the event. The overall success of the boxing competition was in part due to WeSellEvents securing the boxing ring, equipment, referees, and broadcasting rights. As a result, WeSellEvents and Golden Boy Promotions continue to work to establish similar boxing events across the United States.
