2017 GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS
OSCAR DE LA HOYA'S INTERNATIONAL BOXING COMPETITION
Golden Boy Promotions, owned by famed boxer and gold medalist Oscar De La Hoya, became a premier partner of WeSellEvents at the 2017 World Police & Fire Games in Los Angeles. An International Boxing Competition was scheduled to be a big part of the Games. Since We Sell Events was already closely involved in the logistics of staging the LA17 WPFG, we teamed up with Golden Boy Promotions to make the boxing tournament a hit.
First, WeSellEvents brokered the partnership arrangement between Golden Boy Promotions and the Games, securing the production of this unique boxing event. Then, we met weekly with our partners at Golden Boy Promotions, teaming up to coordinate the competition's planning phase – everything from marketing, promotion and merchandise to social media and the event's real-time Internet broadcast stream.
In addition, WSE worked closely with Golden Boy Promotions to secure boxing gloves and the boxing ring. We also worked together to produce and distribute promotional videos hyping up the Games' boxing competition.
Golden Boy Promotions and We Sell Events have continued our partnership, and together we're now planning to stage more big-time boxing competitions across the country.
